Develop and maintain
code using Microsoft Visual Studio:
C#
JQuery
Javascript
Support and maintain production automation platform.
Maintain version control using Subversion.
Experience with HP Exstream a plus, but not required
Hands on development
Work as part of a group to create and test custom applications inside the parameters of a print platform
Participate in complete software development cycle from functional specification to production implementation
Design and develop applications, planning for reliability, security, manageability, scalability, performance, and maintainability
Perform maintenance of existing software components including troubleshooting production issues
Perform peer design and code reviews
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Self-driven, with excellent planning and execution skills and a proven ability to establish and meet goals and objectives; solve complex problems, handle multiple projects, work in a team environment; meet deadlines; analyze business requirements and transform into technical design and system solutions
Ability to solve problems quickly and completely
Ability to work in a virtual team environment at times; email, Skype, phone, Webex as primary communication tools; staying focused, sufficiently disciplined, and on-task
Desirable skills:
Four years programming experience on complex business systems using a major programming language such as Java, C#
Computer degree, diploma, certificates of completion of training from a reputable education organization
Familiarity with a variety of file structures, especially EBCDIC, Ascii, CSV, XML
Knowledge of print languages and document processing: PDF, Postscript, AFP
Oracle PL/SQL, MS SQL Server or other major relational database programming experience (SQL) ? not looking for a DBA; rather, programmer-level access ? table / field maintenance, and programming using a SQL-based platform
USPS knowledge: Address correction, NCOA, presort, IMB, rules for mailing
2D and 3-of-9 barcoding
Experience developing on UNIX and/or Linux; Unix scripting
Windows / DOS batch file scripting
Experience with Windows desktop environments and commonly used Windows applications
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Familiar with standard software development tools, including defect tracking, source control, and documentation
Familiarity with ETL tools, particularly Pervasive?s Data Integrator or Talend
Programming experience in Dialogue, Streamweaver, Crawford, or other document composition tools
Print stream experience; CMYK color output
TIF / RTF / PDF image management in a document composition environment
Familiarity with a high-volume print and mail production environment
