Specific Duties:
1. Works closely with the Integrated Product Development Team (IPDT) Leader to assist planning and leading the development of system requirements, software design, coding, software/system analysis, process, software verification, documentation and testing;
2. Improving in the design and development of applications that enhance the agency's ability to accomplish mission critical program activities;
3. Exercised judgement in determining the most efficient methods for updating, testing and debugging code;
4. Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: Formal Education required: degree, field of study: Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent experience.
Experience required : 3 to 10 years' experience in fields/applications mentioned above.
U.S. Citizenship required.
Specific knowledge and/or skills:
The ability to evaluate current code for the identification of technical, logical, and design deficiencies for a system.
Must have a working knowledge of the programming language specified.
Must be able to produce each of the essential results and perform each of the essential functions satisfactorily.
Independent Judgment and Decision Making: May lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
Physical Demands: Typically the work may be performed sitting down. No special physical demands are required. There may be some walking, standing, bending and carrying of light items such as paper, books, small equipment and supplies.
Working Conditions: Typical office or laboratory environment. No significant exposure to risks or discomforts.
