Audit and Accounting Manager Job Opening in Olney, Maryland - Well established Accounting Firm with over 50 years servicing the Baltimore and D.C areas is seeking an experienced and successful Audit and Accounting Manager.
The Audit & Accounting Manager plans, supervises and reviews multiple engagements and other client assignments:
Proactively interact with key client management to gather information, resolve audit-related problems, and make recommendations for business and process improvements.
Demonstrate an advanced understanding of technical accounting literature within the GAAP hierarchies and is able to research issues and provide management with relevant information, technical guidance and conclusions on non-routine, complex issues.
Expanded involvement in billing responsibilities and client management.
Consistent performance of audit plan in all financial statement areas.
Manages the engagement responsibilities, which include drafting engagement letters, providing status to the client and/or engagement team as appropriate, managing actual hours incurred versus budgeted hours, and billing clients.
Qualifications:
Bachelors of Science in Accounting or related field.
MUST have active CPA with at least 6+ years? experience in public accounting and client consulting.
Strong computer software skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and Prosystems FX Suite, is highly desirable.
Command of GAAP and other comprehensive bases of accounting, unique or specialized accounting principles and financial statement presentations
