Accountant Job Opening in Tulsa, Oklahoma - Established in 1961, Airco Service is the largest Northeastern Oklahoma family-owned and operated Residential & Commercial HVAC, Electrical and Plumbing company. We employ over 250 knowledgeable professionals with excellent customer service and workmanship skills. While headquartered in Tulsa, Oklahoma, we also have two other locations in Oklahoma City and the Grande Lake area. We are seeking an experienced responsible for the companies accounting, budgeting, and financial forecasting activities at our Tulsa location.
Major Duties:
Applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports. Maintains or oversees the control of accounts and records in such areas as disbursements, expenses, tax payments, and income.
Compiles and analyzes financial information to record transactions, prepare reports, and review and verify accuracy.
Prepares periodic financial statements and other accounting schedules and reports.
May design, modify, install, and maintain accounting systems to ensure an adequate recognition of financial transactions.
Provides data for and/or assists in establishing major accounting objectives and policies. Ensures adherence to and communication of accounting policies.
Ensures that all accounting operations are executed to include A/R, A/P, Payroll, and contract labor and expenses.
Preparation of budgets and financial forecasts. Uses actual performance, previous budget figures, estimated revenue, expense reports, and other data sources to control funds and provide proper financial administration.
Prepares financial plans, monitors implementation of financial policies, prepares reports, maintains historical records, analyzes trends, establishes cost rates and personnel forecasts, recommends and interprets budgetary policies and procedures, prepares comparative evaluation of actual costs against budgeted funds, and determines rationale for variances between costs and budget.
Prepares financial analyses of operations for guidance of management.
Works with external auditors.
Qualifications:
BS in accounting plus minimum of 5 years of direct experience.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, attention to details, prioritize many tasks, and to work under time constraints.
Skills in using Microsoft applications.
