Application Analyst for Medical systems (Allscripts, Amelior... Job Opening in Newport Beach, California - One of the best hospitals in the country is looking to add a talented Applications Analyst III to their team. This is an opportunity to work with a prestigious company here in the Orange County area that will certainly open doors for later on in your career. The ideal candidate is someone who has experience with responsible for configuring, testing, implementing and supporting the clinical, financial, administrative and other healthcare information systems used for the delivery of patient care and other supporting functions of the organization.
The duties of this role will include: Clinical applications such as documentation, orders/results, Emergency Department (ED) and Pharmacy. Ancillary applications such as lab, radiology and cardiology, Revenue Cycle applications such as patient access and billing, Financial Applications such as materials management, payroll and human resources, and Other IT applications including facilities and help desk.
Required Skills & Experience
Experience and/or training with healthcare information systems and terminology
Minimum of two (2) years? experience with the application, module or equivalent system as assigned
Advanced knowledge of the assigned application in at least one functional area (e.g. orders, materials management, etc.)
Ability to assist junior staff with completion of assigned tasks.
Minimum five (5) years? experience with the application, module or equivalent system as assigned
Advanced knowledge of the assigned application in multiple functional areas
Expert knowledge of the assigned application in at least one functional area
Ability to mentor junior application analysts.
Excellent communication skills; customer focused; excellent attention to detail; able to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines; strong interpersonal skills; able to work in a team environment.
Proficient with Microsoft office tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio
Desired Skills & Experience
Bachelor?s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.
Two (2) or more years? experience with the application, module or equivalent system as assigned
Two (2) or more years? experience working in a Health Care Application Services department, preferably within an acute care environment
Advanced experience with Microsoft office tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio
