Wanted: Software Test Engineer Job Opening in santa barbara, California - Wanted: Software Test Engineer Wanted Software Test Engineer with 5 years of experience For contract-based work, 40 hours per week, on-site in Goleta Starting as soon as possible Project Description Development and debugging of custom scripts to test and validate firmware logic modules in FPGA-based Infrared camera electronics. The development environment includes Windows 7, Cygwin, Excel, Bash Scripts, Custom Test Apparatus and Applications, and a Custom Scripting Language for communicating with the camera electronics. CVS is used for revision control. Responsibilities span reading firmware module data sheets, developing module test plans, writing and debugging a suite of test scripts to execute the test plan, communicating test results to the firmware design engineers and working to resolve any issues where the behavior of the logic module deviates from its data sheet.
