Responsible for a variety of administrative and clerical tasks:
Draft legal documents, as directed by attorney
Draft letters and correspondence, as directed by attorney
Correspond (in person, in writing, and via telephone) with clients and other parties involved in matters
Draft court documents related to administration of estates:
Prepare inventory for decedent?s estate
Prepare annual and final accounts (including maintenance of estate checking account ledgers) * Take potential client calls and schedule appointments
Assist in maintenance of attorney?s calendar
Requirements:
Highly focused attention to detail & accuracy; very well organized
Good time-management skills
Ability to compose correspondence and complete assigned tasks precisely
Ability to determine work priorities and readjust, as needed
Ability to work independently, without much oversight
Ability to multi-task in a deadline driven environment
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
Comprehensive computer and office equipment experience
Good communication skills and friendly demeanor
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Accounting or bookkeeping experience
Knowledge of court and legal documents and correspondence
Ability to read and understand bank and investment account statements
