Staff Accountant Job Opening in Tampa, Florida - The Staff Accountant position is responsible for maintaining and controlling certain General Ledger accounts and business transactions, applying Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), including analytical analysis and review of financial records.
include but are not limited to:
Posting journal entries
Reconciliation of General Ledger Accounts
Daily reconciliation of the depository bank account
Code Administrative expense invoices and review other department invoice for proper coding
Assist in month-end closing and dealer financials
Reconciling branch bank account
Reconcile vendor parts statements
Assist in year-end and sales tax audits
Monitor and submit expense reports
Backup A/R
Other misc. tasks as assigned

Qualifications:
A relevant 4-year college degree, Accounting degree preferred
4 years general accounting experience
Strong analytical skills and attention to details.
Ability to perform the essential functions of the job and thrive in an intensive result driven work environment.
Solid teamwork and customer service skills
Self-motivated
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and General Ledger skills a must
