Accounting Coordinator Job Opening in Houston, Texas - Accounting Coordinator reports directly to the Controller. Collaborate and function as a key resource to accounting, developing and implementing new methods, procedures and processes to accurately record and process accounting transactions.
Responsible for all phases of accounts receivable (e.g., billing according to company policies and customer protocols, applying payments, coordinating collection efforts, researching issues/open items, all related reconciliations and support, etc.)
Responsible for all phases of accounts payable (e.g., processing payments in Quickbooks handling vendor issues, researching issues/open items, all related reconciliations and support, Credit Cards.)

Provide support in all phases of accounting/finance (e.g., month-end close, account reconciliations, journal entries, etc.)
Establish strong working relationships with Operations, Billing and internal cross-functional departments as well as external partners (customers and vendors)
Provide administrative and accounting support and perform other duties as necessary

Processing of daily bank deposits.
Qualifications
Computer skills, particularly Quickbook and Excel
Experience with independently managing projects and delivering results on-time and accurately
Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with all levels of management
Proven track record of implementing new/innovative processes and procedures
Ability to retain information (e.g., policies, procedures) or find it as needed
Cooperative, team oriented, patient, flexible, dependable, calm under pressure, and able to work independently
Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
