Buyer/Inventory Manager Job Opening in Teaneck, New jersey - JOB SUMMARY:
Aetrex Worldwide, Inc. is a vertically integrated footwear and foot health technology company headquartered in Teaneck, NJ. We're currently looking for a dynamic and highly motivated Inventory Manager/Buyer to join our Purchasing Department. An ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of planning experience, preferably in a fashion or sporting goods industry.
Primary responsibilities include: Manage support functions of Planning & Buying through retail analysis, including forecasting, planning, and buying finished goods to maintain and control inventory levels to meet customer demands and brand distribution. Drive and/or contribute to projects resulting in improved departmental systems and efficiencies.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Forecast inventory on a monthly basis to ensure proper inventory levels are maintained by consistently reviewing weeks of supply, sell thru and trends
Create and maintain purchase orders
Develop and maintain relationships with cross-functional teams, spanning Distribution, Accounting and Product Development
Monitor production and shipping schedules to ensure timely shipment and delivery
Ongoing cost-cutting initiatives including negotiating with current suppliers and sourcing new suppliers
Prepare data for monthly planning/buying meetings. Reports include: inventory on hand, customer demand, in-transit goods and seasonal trends
Pro-actively communicate with Product Development and Aetrex China team regarding any quality or production issues with our vendors
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Ability to understand, analyze and organize historical sales, margin and inventory data
Strong problem solving and math skills
Must be detail oriented and demonstrate the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and follow through on them
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor?s degree or 4+ years of combined college education and work experience
3-5 years of planning experience or equivalent in an analytical finance, planning or business development role
Fashion industry experience a plus
LANGUAGE AND COMPUTER SKILLS:
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and oral; Proficiency in MS Outlook with advanced Excel skill; Access a plus.
