House Supervisor Job Opening in Layton, Utah - Mission Statement : Promoting quality of life and fostering inclusion in communities by operating lively residential programs that emphasize understanding and compassion.
Expected Outcomes:
Models appropriate service delivery for residents and mentors Life Care Specialists in the delivery of services to residents.
Communicates information to program management to ensure that appropriate staffing models are in place to address resident needs.
Fosters environments which create opportunities for learning and independence in daily functioning and interdependence within the community.
Assists, guides, and encourages independence when working with residents in the areas of activities of daily living, instrumental community based living skills, and ongoing rehabilitation to achieve their supported living goals and outcomes. These areas of activities can include, but are not limited to, medical and health related issues, medication management, physical activities, cognitive activities, productive activities, therapeutic activities, activities, and vocational or avocational activities.
Implements resident activities, rehabilitation programs and extension activities as established and/or directed by the Intellegis? management and/or clinical team.
Advocates for resident needs and expectations through consistent communication with the Intellegis? treatment team.
Interacts and communicates with residents, families, and visitors within the program and in the community in a respectful, therapeutic, and professional manner.
Interacts and communicates with management and coworkers in a respectful and professional manner.
Completes and reviews all daily documentation in accordance with state/federal regulations, CARF standards and Intellegis standards.
Completes other duties as assigned in a timely manner.
Key Tasks:
Direct supervision of Life Care Specialists.
Taking the oversight and noting potential liability in activities and preventing incidents.
Ensuring critical tasks are completed including but not limited to: documentation, medication administration, cleanliness, ADL?s and basic care for residents, safety and problem solving.
Vehicle and driving safety.
Ensuring proper equipment and expendables are in place for the residents.
Interacting closely with residents and modeling appropriate interaction for other staff members.
Maintaining a positive and optimistic attitude.
Working closely with management to carry out key initiatives and directives.
Financial stewardship.
Compliance with all licensing regulations and industry standards.
Requirements:
Minimum associate level college degree in related healthcare field. May fulfill requirement with documented work-related experience in field supervising and managing employees. Successful completion of the Certified Nursing Assistant course affiliated with the Utah Nursing Assistant Registry. This will be verified before hire.
Must have work-related references to provide as well as documented CNA experience preferably with Traumatic Brain Injury or Intellectual Disabilities.
