Contract Specialist/Paralegal Job Opening in Atlanta, Georgia - Sibley Heart Center Cardiology is composed of more than 50 pediatric cardiologist providing comprehensive services for patients from before birth to age 21 who have acquired or congenital heart disease. The Contract Specialist position is responsible for the administration and support of the contract management process including state, federal government, vendors, subcontractors, and business contracts.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor?s degree in a related field required.
Three years legal experience required; Paralegal certificate a plus.
Healthcare experience a plus.
Demonstrated project coordination a plus.
Proven analytical and problem solving skills.
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and follow-through discipline.
Ability to effectively communicate with different level managers.
Must possess a high level of confidentiality.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Self-motivated with ability to work under minimal supervision.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Effectively manage the full contract lifecycle to include drafting/review, revision, and interpretation of provisions, preparing interoffice correspondence, shepherding contracts through the approval and signature process; responding to internal and external requests, maintaining contract database, assisting in negotiations, archiving and record retention, and documenting renewal or termination of contracts.
Manage correspondence with the legal department at Children?s Healthcare of Atlanta, Sibley directors, staff, and others on factual matters.
Review contracts and ensure all needed corresponding documents are executed and filed properly (i.e. Non-Disclosure Agreements, Business Associate Agreements and licensing).
Communicate effectively with employees of all levels and various third parties and vendors.
Conduct and effectively apply legal research and analysis of statues, regulations, case law, and other applicable legal matters.
Perform a variety of legally oriented tasks.
Perform other projects and duties as assigned.
