The Hartford Dispensary, founded in 1871, is a leading behavioral healthcare provider dedicated to treating substance abuse and addiction. Today, the Hartford Dispensary is one of the largest provider of methadone treatment in the country. The agency treats over 5,000 patients per day within its network of nine statewide clinics.
The Hartford Dispensary is currently seeking an innovative, seasoned Quality Performance Improvement Coordinator to become a member of the agency. This exciting role will partner with clinic supervisors and administration to ensure compliance with all CARF Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) accreditation standards for all nine clinics. The QI Coordinator role is critical in assisting with the agency's strategic plan and growth ambitions. The ideal candidate will be process oriented, possess strong program/project management skills, and excellent communication skills.
Position Summary
The QI Coordinator is responsible for but not limited to, ensuring initial and on-going compliance with all CARF Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) accreditation standards for all clinics, programs, and the administration unit. Coordinates CARF surveys for all locations and of all staff. Annually incorporates all new/revised CARF OTP standards into agency policy and procedures and ensures implementation of all new/revised standards. Develops, implements, and monitors all required CARF OTP management plans. Ensures agency corporate compliance program conforms to applicable CARF OTP accreditation standards, as well as any State and Federal regulations, and facilitates regular committee meetings, and staff trainings, as well as documentation review/chart audits. Develops outcome reports from agency data in relation to the strategic plan, and prepares both the annual Performance Improvement Report?. Creates the DMHAS required Recovery Competence Plan for submission to DMHAS each January. Incorporates and updates HIPAA into agency policies and procedures and assures agency compliance. Facilitates HIPAA committee meetings on a regular basis and staff training. Seek grant opportunities and applications as applicable.
Education, Licensure & Experience
Baccalaureate Degree with at least five (5) years of performance improvement experience in the behavioral health field. At least one year of experience should be of a supervisory nature. Masters Degree in a related field and grant writing experience preferred.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Provides consistent compliance oversight and support to clinic supervisors to ensure goals are met consistently and timely for all program requirements.
Works with all clinics to provide on-going education and training competency on functions related to CARF regulations and quality performance improvement as performance improvement guide for supervisors, senior frontline staff, and clinic staff to promote strong work ethic and adherence to the agency's mission and vision while maintaining regulatory compliance.
