Industrial Sales Job Opening in Jackson, Tennessee - TMI Coatings is seeking an industrial sales person. Job duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Field sales, business to business
- Proposal development
- Follow up by phone to close orders
- Serve as a liaison between company, field workers, and customers
- Maintain contact with existing clients by phone
- Project Managment
Required Qualifications: The ideal candidate must possess an Associate's or Bachelor's degree and three years of sales experience. Candidates must be persistent with good organizational and communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Construction or paint knowledge is helpful
- Excellent follow-up
- Enjoy prospecting and have enthusiasm for in-person sales
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with good computer skills
Successful candidate will train first in the field and work with the field personnel to learn the application process, procedures, and material uses. The candidate will also train with the existing inside sales team generating leads and, finally, the candidate will work with the sales/project management team.
TMI offers a competitive base salary plus commission and a comprehensive benefit package. Travel is required for the sales position: overnight travel averaging 1-2 nights on the road per week.
TMI Coatings is a Painting and Restoration Contractor. We restore America's infrastructure and are experienced in the application of protective coatings at commercial and industrial sites such as 3M, ADM, Cargill, and other Fortune 1000 companies. We paint tanks, structural steel, and stacks. Our concrete coating division does concrete restoration and waterproofing of silos and bins. TMI's building restoration services include brick and block replacement, tuck pointing, concrete restoration, and coating.
