Accounting Manager - Manufacturing Job Opening in Salisbury, Maryland - POSITION SUMMARY
Serve as the Financial and Planning Manager. Organize and lead financial, planning, IT and business support processes to include forecasting, procurement, capacity planning, quotations and other related business processes.
QUALIFICATIONS and EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor?s degree from a four-year accredited college or university, (preferably accounting or other related area) and 7+ related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Master?s degree is a plus.
Must have manufacturing experience, preferably in a setting that uses lean manufacturing principles
Effectively use spreadsheets and word processing programs such as Excel and Word to prepare and analyze financial data and other pertinent information is mandatory.
Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exits.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead, manage, and execute accounting and financial processes to include financial reporting, general ledger administration, accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory valuation, budgeting, forecasting, capital investment evaluation & administration, process and product costing, cash management, internal controls, internal audit, etc.
Provide leadership, oversight, and direction to the production planning and sales personnel who execute the following: capacity planning, request for quotation process and the order entry process.
Provide oversight and management to the procurement process in order to ensure that pricing, delivery, and quality are optimized. Develop strategic supply agreements with raw material suppliers.
Provide oversight and management to information technology in order to ensure that network integrity, and personnel efficiency is optimized.
Participate on the Mill Management Team providing information and guidance regarding the Mill?s financial performance.
Provide oversight and management to support functions such as accounting, purchasing and information technology.
Support an operating culture that promotes involvement, communication, mutual trust & respect, expectations and accountability, and a passion for excellence.
Own and role model Plymouth Tube values and behaviors to develop and transform the Company culture.
Ensure that these values and behaviors are a part of everyday life at Plymouth Tube.
