LUW DB2 DBA Job Opening in ATLANTA, Georgia - At least 7 years of experience with the following:
? Excellent knowledge of DB2 Architecture and troubleshooting skills.
? Good working knowledge of SAP Db2 (DB6) on LUW V10.x, V11.1, etc.
? Hands on knowledge of db2 admin table move
? Experience in DB2 AESE/ESE installations, fix pack upgradation, version upgradation.
? In-Depth knowledge of instance/database creation, configuration, administration and troubleshooting problems.
? In-Depth knowledge of database maintenance utilities like reorg, runstats, load, import, export, db2move etc.
? In-Depth knowledge of Database Recovery, Backup, Redirect Restore, Rollforward.
? Strong working experience of DPF (Partitioning features).
? Strong working knowledge of IBM HADR and TSA .
? Strong working knowledge of SQL-Replication setup and maintenance.
? Strong working knowledge of DB2 compression.
? Excellent Performance Tuning skills DB/DBM CFGs, SQL Tuning, DB2dart, DB2explain , Database
? Space/capacity Management
? User/Role management
? Knowledge of backup utilities like Veritas Netbackup, TSM, DDboost, etc.
? Knowledge of db2 clustering solution like HACMP, TSA etc.
? Experience in working with DB2's native utilities like db2pd, db2top, db2 ATS, db2mtrk, db2expln, db2batch, db2look etc
Primary duties include:
? Incident and Problem resolution based on customer Service Level requirements.
? Strong technical skills
? Resolve problems, document solutions, and implement changes
? Conduct performance monitoring and tuning activities on DB2 databases.
? Create and maintain the performance of stored procedures.
? Ability to work without supervision
? The internal drive, intellectual curiosity, ability to learn, and desire to help the customer succeed
? Comfortable working under Project Manager supervision
? Experience in DB2 Connect server installation, setup and client server connectivity setup and maintenance.
? DB2 database administration on SAP Environments.
? Use of problem and change management tools
? Physical Layout design etc.
? Experience in Unix shell scripting.
? Experience in DB2 Purescale
? Good knowledge on ITIL - change, incident, problem management etc.
? Open to provide off hours and weekend support
