Sales Development Representative Job Opening in New York, New york - Skytop Strategies? Sales Engagement teams (Delegate & Sponsorship) create and execute strategies designed to capture revenue on upcoming programs. Team members utilize targeted emails, phone calls and networking events to express educational value and business development opportunities inherent in senior-level conference programming. An understanding of subject matter and core practice areas is important to build the case for participation, in addition to maintaining strong communication with executives.
The Delegate Sales Associate generates and researches new qualified opportunities, executing on sales strategies to attract conference attendees and generate delegate revenue for upcoming programs. Team members utilize multiple sales channels (e.g., targeted emails, phone calls, networking events) to articulate the educational value and business development opportunities inherent in our senior-level conference programming.

Responsibilities:
70% Generating New Qualified Delegate Opportunities (40% calling; 30% emailing)
Outreach to prospective participants to build the business case and secure delegate attendance at upcoming conferences
Cold call warm and hot leads, and continue to maintain contact via phone and email until sold or deemed cold
Manage client relationships with multiple people and firms, fostering potential for long-term value
Manage numerous ongoing relationships with senior-level executives
Create, submit and review delegate proposals with prospective firms
Negotiate terms and finalize agreements
30% Researching Qualifying Leads
Conduct prospect research to support the engagement process
Organize follow-up and facilitate feedback cycles, pre-program and post-program
Develop sales pitches tailored to client needs, demonstrating the value of our programs
Work closely with Managing Director and CEO to strategize engagement opportunities, aiming to maximize revenue potential
Develop an understanding of subject matter and core practice areas to build the case for participation
Track activity and report results on a regular basis
Qualifications and Skills:
2+ years of sales experience with the desire to build a career in sales.
Strong interpersonal communication skills
Ability to collaborate and work closely in teams
Effective written communication skills
Highly organized, strong time management skills
Self starter, tactically agile
Ability to respond to rapidly changing environments
Confidence communicating with senior level contacts and building sustainable working relationships
Ability to close prospects into clients
Ability to communicate with decision makers and translate that into revenue opportunities
Bachelor?s degree in business, management, marketing, communications, public relations preferred
Working knowledge of Salesforce
10-15% travel required
Preferred Qualifications:
BA or BS in business, management, marketing, communications, public relations
Sales experience preferred
Strong interpersonal communication skills
Ability to collaborate and work closely in teams
