Inside Electrical Sales Job Opening in Syracuse, New york - VP Supply Corp is one of the nation?s 100 largest wholesale supply houses. VP Supply has over 350 employees with locations throughout New York and Western Pennsylvania. We serve hundreds of contractors, municipalities, and industries throughout the upstate area.
Due to our continuing growth, we have an opening for an Inside Electrical Sales position in our Syracuse, NY location. VP Supply is establishing a full line Electrical Distribution operation and this will be a key position within our company to aid in the development of this initiative from the start.
Key Responsibilities will include:
Primary inside contact for electrical customers and as such, will quote, place and expedite orders and provide support for shipping, pricing and technical inquiries.
Assist in the development of inventory product lines required to service our customer base.
Oversee and develop product storage and related logistics, including warehousing and counter product placement, selection, signage, displays and organization.
Oversee internal operations of electrical products and related customer service.
Service walk-in, retail customers
Facilitation of orders and inter-company product transfers to maintain customer availability and delivery in the most expeditious manner.
Oversee receipt, storage, and identification of warehouse inventory
Liaison with outside vendors and manufacturer's representatives
Qualifications :
Strong experience in the electrical distribution industry with extensive knowledge of the full spectrum of electrical products such as gear, pipe, fittings, devices, breakers, connectors, lamps, lighting and those items essential to a distribution supply house.
Superior customer service, oral and written communication and organizational skills are a must.
Must be a self-starter and a quick learner with the ability to work effectively within teams as well as independently.
Ability to work closely with our Outside Sales team and manage accounts.
Advanced knowledge of computer and Microsoft Office programs.
Understanding of product mark-ups and profit margins.
