The coding specialist position will be responsible for reviewing patient medical records for accuracy and completeness as well as extracting all applicable ICD10 and CPT codes for billing purposes. The position will also be responsible for entering charges into the practice management system for billing. This position will be required to meet accuracy and volume thresholds in order to succeed.
The successful candidate will have proven medical coding experience and a willingness to learn New Bedford Corporation's processes and procedures. A strong knowledge of nationally accepted coding and payer guidelines is required. Experience in medical oncology coding is also required and a medical coding certification is preferred. Candidates who also possess training and/or management experience are preferred. Applicants may be required to complete online testing to demonstrate speed and efficiency with technology.
The coding specialist position is a full-time position with benefits including health insurance, paid time off and a 401k plan.
