Summary:
The position handles various aspects of accounting for the Organization. As such, she/he has a direct responsibility for preparing monthly financial statements, maintaining general ledger accounts, preparing journal entries and posting to the General Ledger, reconciling bank accounts and balance sheet accounts, preparing sales tax returns, working closely with the Hotel Manager and her\his supporting staff members and members of the Accounting Department.
Essential Functions:
Prepare financial statements in accordance with GAAP and USALI standards.
Analyze the hotels financial performance including labor and expense management
Monitor daily weekly revenue, payroll and accounts payable activity
Oversee accurate and appropriate recording of revenues and expenses
Maintain Furniture, Fixture & Equipment ledgers for fixed asset accounting
Maintaining contract and insurance files
Assist in the month end and year end closing process.
Prepare for financial audit and participate in the audit process.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Finance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor?s Degree in Accounting or Finance required
1+ years? experience in accounting or hospitality
