Accounting Assistant Job Opening in El Paso, Texas - The appropriate candidate for this position will report directly to the Full Charge Bookkeeper who you will assist in all aspects of accounting for the company. Specific duties will include, but are not limited to, invoice and purchase order entry, executing check runs, obtaining conditional and unconditional waivers, bank reconciliations, the processing of internal vouchers and vendor invoices, distributing vouchers for departmental approval, and assisting with month end close outs.
A professional and courteous phone etiquette is a must as this position will entail interaction with the company's vendors and sub-contractors.
Attention to detail is key in this position as it is responsible for maintaining files and documentation. A qualified individual must be able to work in a face paced environment and work well as part of a team, but also have the ability to be self-motivated, work on one's own, follow directions, and work accurately.
Experience with MAS 90, or other Sage accounting software, is a plus but not a requirement as is experience in the construction industry.
