Quality/Risk Manager (Part to Full time)
Responsible for leading the quality improvement process through the administrative planning, development and implementation of quality management procedures within the organization. Gathers and interprets data to identify healthcare trends. Works in partnership with individual staff and teams to facilitate and implement process improvement plans. Collaborates on the measurement and improvement of clinical outcomes and coordinates department level preparedness for surveys.
This position also works in partnership with leadership, practice administrators, medical directors, practice staff and physicians to ensure the organization meets the service goals as measured by the voluntary surveys as well as the federal and state required satisfaction surveys. This position reviews, understands and analyzes the organization's patient experience data and uses this data to provide in-depth, proactive consultation, coaching and direction to directors, managers and staff in service improvement methods.
Must have working knowledge of quality improvement tools and processes and have the ability to plan, organize and accomplish multiple objectives. Must have the ability to communicate effectively and set clear expectations, as well as be able to teach and develop others. Strong skills with computer spreadsheets and presentation software are required and strong communication skills for verbal presentations and display of data to OMC staff, medical staff and governing board. Current Wisconsin RN license or the ability to obtain or a minimum of 5 years healthcare experience. Team-focused individual with prior quality improvement experience preferred.
OMC is an integrated family practice clinic with eleven family physicians, three physician assistants and one nurse practitioner. The practice includes a full-time general surgeon and a variety of surgical and medical physician specialists.
OMC, a not-for-profit health care organization, is located on a 128-acre campus in Osceola, Wisconsin. The medical center was constructed and completed in 2008. It is designated as a CAH and has 15 medical-surgical beds and three LDRP units. OMC also operates a free standing fitness center located on the campus as well as a free standing clinic in Scandia, Minnesota. Also on the OMC campus and connected to the medical center is a 60-unit nursing home owned and operated by Christian Community Homes.
