Clinical Nurse Leader (Vascular Access) Job Opening in Omaha, Nebraska - Responsibilities: In collaboration with nursing leadership, the Clinical Leader provides direction and guidance for nursing support high quality care of patients and families. The Clinical Leader manages patient day to day operations including satisfaction and safety, employee , and department needs to support the staff, and affective management of departmental goals. Review monthly quality insertion data with procedure nurses; complete procedure reviews as needed throughout training of new hires and variations in monthly quality performance data, participate in the yearly performance evaluations. The Clinical Leader will address personnel issues if related to day to day operations in the field prior to involvement from CEO.
Required Work Experience: 2 years minimum in vascular access and 3 to 5 years of hospital/clinical experience is required; Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects with strong communication and prioritising skills; expert understanding of clinical workflow and nursing practice and demonstrated ability to be self-directed utilising resources to meet objectives; understanding and experience of policy and procedure writing and implementation.
Skills: Proficient in word, excel and power point; excellent communication skills to improve workflow; strong collaboration with physicians and other healthcare providers. Ability to be an educational resource at night and weekends if the schedule or training of new hire or new product warrants.
Education: RN License with BSN or other bachelors degree in management or administration. VA-BC and CRNI highly recommended.
