FT Night Audit Job Opening in Westbrook, Maine - The auditor is responsible for providing outstanding guest service to all guests in the hotel while covering overnight (11p-7a) shifts at the front desk and performing accounting functions.
Some duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Greets and assists all guests during arrival and departure.
Provides courteous guest services by responding promptly and efficiently to inquiries, requests and complaints.
Processes all reservations and cancellation requests in a timely manner by email, postal mail, telephone, fax or in person.
Maximizes room revenue and occupancy levels through suggestive selling techniques.
Handles and balances the daily money intake, receipts, guest accounts, and other forms of credit; operates the property POS. Balances and records daily sales of all hotel departments appropriately.
Maintains order and cleanliness of front desk and back office to present a pleasant and professional image to guests.
Sets up breakfast area every morning.
Occasionally may need to clean a guest room.
Acts as manager on duty when manager is not available.
Maintains information and communication sources such as room inventory, lost and found log, telephone information, and log book; operates switchboard to handle customer inquiries, wakeup calls and the contacting of guests.
Follows established safety procedures to ensure a pleasant stay for all guests and maintain a comfortable working environment.
Maintain a clean, pleasant, and professional image to guests and associates.
Complies with hotel policies and procedures.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
