Staff Accountant Job Opening in Sterling, Virginia - Summary of Position:
We are looking for a dynamic, reliable, and detail oriented professional who?s not afraid to ask questions, to join our fast pace growing company as a Staff Accountant. We are a family entertainment company, we believe work can be fun. The primary purpose of this position is to assist the Corporate Controller.
Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Monthly Bank Reconciliations for multiple bank accounts
Maintain General Ledger schedules on a monthly basis
Document corresponding Journal Entries for all schedules once approved
Knowledge of Quick Books and Great Plains a plus
Analyze account data
Assist with the preparation of the monthly and quarterly investor package
Assist in the construction of and maintenance of Corporate Dashboard
Assist with annual audits
Expectations:
Bachelor?s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related areas of study
1-3 years of hands on experience (billing, accounts payable, journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, assisting with month end close
Strong to Advanced Excel skills
Strong work ethic
Detailed and accurate
Strong organizational and time management skills
Consistently meet deadlines
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
Ability to interact with employees in a professional manner
Ability to maintain confidential information
