Director of Sales Job Opening in Kansas City, Kansas - Job Description:
Seeking a resourceful and professional individual to provide sales and revenue management leadership of a uniquely upscale extended stay Home 2 Suites by Hilton hotel located near to the University of Kansas Medical Center and KU Hospital. The hotel is scheduled to open in December 2017 and has a great long-term strategic location in Kansas City, KS.
The Home 2 Suites by Hilton is a beautiful 5-story hotel with 89 suites, indoor swimming pool, spacious and well-equipped fitness center, comfortable great room serving daily complimentary hot breakfast, business center, and convenience store. The 1,000 square feet of total meeting space is catered through relationships with myriad local restaurants. The hotel is situated just a few blocks south on Rainbow Blvd from the University of Kansas Medical Center and KU Hospital.
The Sales Director will report to the general manager in preparing and carrying out the hotel business plan from which revenue objectives and strategies will be established to promote market share growth within the competitive set.
The Sales Director will assist the general manager in providing leadership and training of all employees that creates a uniquely extraordinary employee and guest experience to maximize customer intent to return.
Job Requirements:
Previous hotel sales and/or operations management experience required.
Experience with demand forecasting, pricing, market segmentation analysis, and business/sales planning required.
Must demonstrate professional appearance, outstanding oral and written communication skills, and ability to create and nurture strong business relationships within all customer segments.
Must have proven track record of producing strong revenue results through effective sales skills and leadership.
Must possess advanced relationship building, presentation, and negotiating skills.
Must be self-motivated, resourceful, and possess strong organization skills.
