HR Generalist Job Opening in Surprise, Arizona - SUMMARY:
This position is primarily responsible for administering policies relating to all phases of human resources activity by performing the following duties. This position will specifically support the clinician staff within the organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
Plans and conducts new employee orientation for new clinicians and new internal staff to foster positive attitude toward company goals.
Maintains and administers records of benefits plans participation such as insurance and retirement plan, personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting.
Manages and tracks management?s role in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, safety, and sexual harassment.
Consults with management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.
Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
Administers and tracks performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within organization.
Regularly audits the data entry of payroll for both internal and clinical staff. Resolves payroll issues and makes recommendation for exceptions to payroll when necessary.
Administers benefits programs such as life, health, dental and disability insurances, retirement plans, PTO, leave of absence, and employee assistance.
Investigates accidents and prepares reports for insurance carrier.
Creates and documents updates on HR Department Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation, and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.
Assists in responding to all Unemployment Claims both in writing and attending hearings on behalf of the company.
Manages and trains HR staff and provides guidance on daily work tasks.
Ongoing projects to support the Company, all employees and the HR Department.
Processes and tracks all Leave of Absence requests. Regularly audits to ensure proper compliance with DOL requirements.
Other duties may be assigned.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelors degree.
3-5 years in a Human Resources Generalist role; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Human Resources certification required.
Prior experience in HR role in a medical practice, hospital or physicians group preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Contact Management systems; Database software; Development software; Human Resource systems; Internet software; Payroll systems; Project Management software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software. Experience working with ADP Workforce preferred. Experience working with Zenefits preferred.

PHR (Professional in Human Resources)
SPHR (Senior Professional in Human Resources)
GPHR (Global Professional in Human Resources)
PHR-CA and SPHR-CA (PHR with state certification in California and SPHR with state certification in California)
SHRM-CP or SHRM-SP
