Embedded Design Engineer Job Opening in Scottsdale, Arizona - As a key member of the Interface, Inc. Electronics Engineering Team, develops innovative measurement solutions products. Responsible for development of embedded microcontroller systems typically targeted for precision measurement and sensing technologies. Supports and develops pc software for products introduced to market. This position requires communication and interaction with sales, engineering, manufacturing, and customers for product development and continued support.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Design, develop, test, & debug embedded electronics for , ARM experience is a plus.
Create embedded firmware using C language and real time operating systems.
Develop high level communication code for USB, Ethernet, and Field-buses.
Work with Interface team and/or outside vendors to design embedded systems.
Proficient in writing software to communicate via network protocol stacks(TCP/IP)
Create Visual Studio pc application software for configuration and test of embedded products.
Responsible for pc code using C++ or C# to communicate with embedded devices over USB or Ethernet.
Utilize third party or open source software as required.
Write procedures, manuals, and specifications.
Assist with product questions.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Education BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
: 3 years direct experience in embedded microcontroller product design and development.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
Embedded Microcontroller design, ARM based a plus
Design with real time operating systems
Communication via network protocol stacks
PC software development using C+ or C#
BONUS SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Development of product based on low level analog signal sensors
Knowledge of signal processing and filters for high precision measurements
Windows API experience
Commercial software release
