Bookkeeper/QuickBooks Job Opening in Reedsburg, Wisconsin - Position Objective:
Provide bookkeeping support, including payroll and QB Support to clients. Ensure compliance with GAAP. Travel to client location as needed.
Essential Job Functions:
Accounts Receivable ? establish and monitor client accounts; maintain collections and aging reports; reconcile client payments.
Accounts Payable ? Schedule and pay vendor invoices; monitor vendor aging reports.
Track and manage all fixed assets for financial reporting purposes.
Develop compiled financial statements and sales tax reporting.
Assist with banking, reconciliation, deposits, ledger entries, office filing.
Assist with development and implementation of additional policies and procedures.
Process payrolls including direct deposits, generating end statements.
Trial balance and QuickBooks work.
Provide QuickBooks support and consulting. Train clients on managing their records in QB on an as-needed basis.
Project work ? work with client to provide catch up of the year?s financial activity in order to produce tax return.
Ancillary Functions:
Assist with answering phones.
Maintain acceptable attendance.
Assist with other duties associated with a full service CPA firm.
Assist with Assembly during tax season.
Address client concerns if primary Accountant is unavailable.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Two years experience as bookkeeper or accounting clerk.
Associates degree in accounting preferred.
Work record that shows attention to detail.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proficient in QuickBooks; Ability to learn Creative Solutions. MS Office Suite (to include Excel); general bookkeeping standards and practices.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Possess the attitude of ?customer first?.
Proficient in 10-key and keyboarding.
Ability to work without supervision.
Ability to produce accurate work.
Physical Demands of the Position:
Primarily office setting with no exposure to weather elements. Light lifting of office supplies (up to 20 pounds.) Occasional lifting of 50 pounds (heavier office supplies or client records).
10-key dexterity. Must be able to walk, stoop and lift.
Climbing of stairs with or without materials in hand.
