Accounting Manager Job Opening in Littleton, Colorado - Charter Software is a small but growing software company founded in 1978 and located in Littleton Colorado. Our flagship product, a Windows based business management system was designed exclusively for equipment dealerships. We are the only business system vendor endorsed by five regional equipment dealer associations in the United States and Canada.
The Accounting Manager position is responsible for managing all aspects of Charter?s financial operations.
Duties and responsibilities
Sets company policy for Accounting, Financial Management and Risk Management
Preparation of periodic financial reports
Budget preparation
Treasury management
of accounting systems
Credit Card user/card management
Online payment and bill retrieval for selected accounts
Invoicing
Processing of customer payments
Bank deposits
Bank account reconcilements
Collections
Prompt payment of company debt and obligations
Credit card statement reconcilement
Sales Tax collection, deposits, returns
Unemployment Insurance returns & payments
Corporate income tax returns
Property tax returns
File Audit Reports as required
Handles procurement of all business insurance policies
Files Audit Reports as required
Claims management
Electronic Document Management
Special projects as needed
Skills / Requirements
5+ years of experience in an accounting position, well-versed in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Financial Reporting
Experience using accounting software
Experience in the Software Industry
Experience using a CRM tool
Proficient user of Microsoft Office products and/or equivalents
Experience in contract negotiations
Experience using Document Management software
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Detail oriented
Fast learner and self-motivated
Creative problem solving skills
Education / Training
Bachelors in Accounting or Finance required
