Job Summary:
The position will act as a finance business partner aligned to one of Westcon's business units, helping provide financial analysis and decision making support to help drive the business forward.
Additionally, the role will also be responsible for conducting credit analysis of the business unit's customer base to help promote revenue growth while mitigating risk.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Analyst will partner with senior sales and finance leadership to provide business insight and decision making support including providing revenue and profitability trend analysis, ad hoc analysis, evaluate what/if scenarios, assess cost of capital vs. extended term requests, etc.
* Assists with special financial and business related studies and cooperates with other internal stakeholders in preparing analyses.
* Assess customer creditworthiness by evaluating financial statements including income statements, balance sheets & cash flow statements, SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K, 20-F), corporate and personal tax returns and other third party credit information (D&B, NACM, Graydon, etc.).
* Make recommendations on customer credit limits and terms.
Requirements:
* 5-7 years in role as finance business partner, FP&A analyst, financial analyst, etc. required.
* Credit risk experience a plus, but will provide training to the right individual who brings other expertise and background.
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field required.
* Advanced degree or qualifications desirable (CPA, MBA, CFA, etc.).
* Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills a must.
* Exceptional communication skills, ability to synthesize financial information and deliver presentations to executive level management are required.
* Prior experience in distribution industry or IT preferred.
