The Finance department at New Age has an excellent opportunity based out of our Denver, Colorado corporate offices for a skilled, energetic, self-motivated, detail oriented and well-rounded accounting professional to join our fast paced, entrepreneurial company in the role of General Accountant .
The successful candidate will able to multi-task and effectively manage various Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and General Accounting responsibilities. The successful candidate will be expected to continue to grow in responsibilities within the role with the potential for future advancement.
Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Provide Accounts Receivable support including invoicing, payment application, deduction processing and supporting administrative activities
Provide Accounts Payable support including vouchering invoices, vendor reconciliations and supporting administrative activities
Conduct daily reconciliations of banking activity
Conduct a monthly reconciliation of multiple bank and balance sheet accounts
Manage the accounting for inventory
Prepare and record journal entries
Assist in recommending, implementing and monitoring accounting processes and controls
Make recommendations and implement efficiencies in accounting and financial processes
Other duties, ad hoc projects and assignments as required
Job Requirements:
Requirements include:
Bachelor?s degree in Accounting or related field
5+ years? verifiable, relevant accounting experience, preferably in a related industry (wholesale distribution, consumer products) with progressive responsibility
Experience working with ERP systems
Ability to successfully multi-task, maintain flexibility in prioritizing daily work and meet deadlines in a fast paced, entrepreneurial, team oriented environment
Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
High level of integrity, motivation and attention to detail (must demonstrate initiative)
Detail oriented and take pride in finished work
Effective follow-up skills, problem solving skills and self-management
Strong work ethic with a positive ?can do? attitude - do what it takes to get the job done
Ability to multitask, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Outlook with advanced Excel skills
