Senior Accountant Job Opening in Arvada, Colorado - Overview:
The Sr. Accountant will support the Accounting Manager, HR and the Finance department, in the preparation and review of all financial reporting requirements of the Company. Responsible for all accounting related functions, as well as, HR processes and documentation. Responsibilities will vary from day to day; the successful candidate will be a team player, versatile and have the ability to be extremely organized within a highly active construction industry related work environment. The successful candidate will have 4+ years of experience in a full cycle accounting position; experience with job cost and cost of goods sold as well as inventory reconciliation.
Responsibilities:
Prepare/review monthly and quarterly balance sheet account reconciliations
Perform monthly analysis of Budget vs Actual costs
Prepare and/or review journal entries as part of the month end close process
Assist with weekly cash flow dashboard
Provide support to quarterly P&L forecast process
Assist with monthly construction draw processes and procedures
Prepare Inventory reconciliation and collaborate with Project Finance Manager to understand the COGS impact throughout the month
Prepare and/or review intercompany payroll allocations
Assist with annual audit process
Other :
Ad hoc work as needed
Qualifications:
Accounting degree or equivalent is mandatory.
Must be knowledgeable of accounting principles, processes, and procedures.
Applicant must have strong computer experience.
Great Plains experience a plus.
