Duties include: Participate in all aspects of the technical services department. Assist in the creation and implementation of new technical support and preventative maintenance programs for existing and potential clients. Contact, interact, assist, and track current and new clients. Conduct on-site technical visits, both scheduled and as a result of immediate calls for quick-response trouble-shooting. Maintain hardware and software inventories; order, track, and receive new hardware and software and replacements parts, as required. Act as a help desk support staff - respond, and/or seek assistance, and reply to incoming phone calls and emails in regard to technical inquiries. Demonstrated ability to work as an energetic team member, interest in emerging technologies, and excellent verbal communication skills are essential. Fulltime. Competitive salary and benefits. Responsibilities: � Responsible for on-site installation, implementation, maintenance, troubleshooting and/or repair of desktops, notebooks, server administration and associated peripherals. � Installs, maintains and optimizes desktop /notebook /server configurations at customer sites. � Diagnoses and resolves product performance problems. � Performs maintenance and repair services. � Ensures customer satisfaction by advising customers on preventive maintenance and configurations which may impact product performance. � Performs advanced troubleshooting techniques to address complex technical issues � Identifies risks and develops solutions for Client tasks � Serves as escalation and issue resolution point for onsite technicians � Coordinates with on-site facilities and technical contacts regarding readiness and delivery issues � May distribute workload among Client Field Team � May prepare documentation to record and track issue resolutions. � May handle several projects simultaneously � Uses independent discretion and decision making to assess and deliver technical solutions � May receive calls after normal business hours � A highly skilled specialist who contributes to the development of concepts and techniques; completes complex tasks in creative and effective ways � Consistently works on complex assignments requiring independent action and a high degree of initiative to resolve issues; makes recommendations for new procedures � Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments; often acts as a facilitator � Receive and respond to on-call pages, and/or e-mails regarding client systems problems Required Qualifications Qualifications: � Technical training school diploma in the field of computer science and a minimum of three years equivalent work experience � Microsoft MCP certification � Working technical knowledge of Microsoft and Apple network and PC operating systems � Working technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and standards, including Dell, Gateway and HP hardware � Hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience � Strong written and oral communication skills � Good interpersonal skills � Ability to conduct research into networking issues and products as required � Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language � Self motivated and directed � Keen attention to detail � Analytical and problem-solving abilities � Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment � Strong customer service orientation � Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment � Consulting Experience preferred.
