Senior Accountant Job Opening in Niwot, Colorado - Requirements: 10 years general accounting experience, bachelor?s degree in accounting required (CPA preferred). 5 years commercial real estate experience. 3 years property management experience. Current work experience with Microsoft Office and Yardi property management unique opportunity for a proven leader to apply his/her skills, experience and knowledge while helping to take the organization to its next phase is being offered by a growing Niwot, CO based commercial estate investment and development position will report directly to the Accounting/Office Manager with dotted lines to the CFO, President and Chairman of the Board, and will be responsible for contributing to all levels of and Responsibilities include: ? Assist in overseeing the operations of the accounting department. Plan, organize, process and supervise the activities of general accounting and all accounting functions including accounts payable and payroll.? Assist in processing monthly cash flow and sign-off on payment package for vendors.? Oversee and support all monthly, quarterly and year-end closings.? Assist in the preparation of quarterly and year-end consolidated financial statements.? Assist in preparing annual year-end tax filing process with external accountants including book/tax variance treatment and record keeping.? Manage and assist in annual expense reconciliations? Assist in preparing budgets by establishing templates as well as collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data. Prepare and track budget variance versus actual performance.? Evaluate and implement processes to improve internal controls and streamline financial reporting and accounting procedures.? Provide various levels of managerial assistance inclusive of accurate and timely information necessary to make strategic operating decisions.? Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.? Reports to and may assist in projects under the guidance of the Accounting/Office Manager, CFO, President and Chairman of the Board.? Demonstrates a strong understanding of financial reporting?
