Per-DM-Family Nurse Practitioner ? APRN-C Advanced practice nurse who assist with all aspects of patient care, including diagnosis, treatments and consultations. Educates patients regarding preventative care and prescribed treatments. May also conduct physicals, order tests and serve as a patient's primary healthcare provider.
Requirements :
Completion of accredited Nurse Practitioner program. State of Nevada licensure is also required, with Prescribing Privileges preferred.
Minimum of 2 year(s) experience.
National certification in specialty is required.
Ability to work independently; communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Deal tactfully and patiently with clients.
Establish and maintain records, reports and statistical data; use initiative and judgment; maintain effective working relationships with others.
Must be proficient in the use of medical and laboratory equipment.
Duties include but are not limited to :
Provides diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive health care services to Adult/pediatrics patients, as delegated by physician.
Working as a team member of A-P Medical Group, takes medical histories, examines and treats patients, orders and interprets laboratory tests and x rays; and makes diagnoses, treats minor injuries, by suturing, splinting, and recording progress notes.
Instructs and counsels patients, and orders or carries out therapy. May prescribe some medications.
Calls back all abnormal test results. Advises patients when due for well checkups and vaccines.
Records physical findings, and formulates plan and prognosis, based on patient's conditions.
Discusses case with physicians and other health professionals to prepare comprehensive patient care plan.
May refer patients to physician for consultation or to specialized health resources for treatment.
