Software Engineer II/III Job Opening in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania - Purpose:
Develop software to enhance our enterprise health care applications that span multiple markets and platforms.
Essential Job Functions:
Design and write code that meets Net Health?s requirements for quality, performance, and usefulness within project timelines
Work as part of a cross-functional team, alongside Net Health?s Product and QA teams, to deliver high quality solutions
Work on new feature development as well as maintenance projects and defect fixes
Work with team members to ensure projects have accurate estimates, meet provided timelines, and fulfill requirements
Work with Product team to provide guidance on project requirements
Complete projects of moderate scope independently
Troubleshoot problems and provide options for possible solutions
Participate in code reviews
Experience, Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Experience with the total software development lifecycle from design through maintenance
Strong problem solving and object-oriented design skills
3 - 4 years of experience with using C#
3 - 4 years of experience with common relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, etc) with a solid understanding of database design and querying
Experience with Current Web UI layer technologies ()
Awareness of basic best practices for secure code design
Experience with modern source control tools and practices
Nice to Have:
Experience with current client-side frameworks, tools, and libraries, such as Knockout, Backbone, Underscore, Typescript, and jQuery
Experience with the MVC design pattern and SaaS-based software development
Ability to work with and mentor team members
Experience being a technical lead on a project from start to finish
Bachelor?s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other comparable area
Basic understanding of healthcare patient workflow
Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences
Any other experience with web-related technologies
Contribution to open source initiatives
