Finance Manager Job Opening in New York, New york - The Finance Manager is a dynamic role requiring an individual who is capable of driving efficiency through continuous improvement of processes, while working in a complex, matrix environment and managing competing priorities. The Finance Manager requires the ability to interact with all levels of the client/finance organization, may lead and develop others via direct management responsibility or project teams. The Finance Manager will provide Financial support, including month-end-close, budgeting, forecasting, actual spend reporting and fixed asset management to Upper Management and Operational Directors.
· Review and ensure the accuracy of company?s management reports, identifying business trends and potential risks and opportunities. Provide detailed and summary analyses and financial reporting to Operations department and Senior Management. Accumulate and analyze data for preparation of financial statements, reports and regulatory filings. Work collaboratively with teams, reviewing month-end GL account reconciliations, reserves and accruals. Assist management in the development and analysis of budget plans.
· Lead and participate in innovation through process automation and process improvements.
Provide ad hoc financial analysis to senior management to help leadership evaluate and drive ongoing and strategic operational business decision making.
MUST HAVE A BACHELOR'S DEGREE - ACCOUNTING, CPA A BIG PLUS
· Minimum of 3-5 years General Accounting and Financial Reporting in a professional business environment.
· experience. Ability to manage a team, prioritize and optimize workloads through multi-tasking in order to meet company goals.
· Advanced analytical capability, with the ability to research detailed data and improve processes through information optimization and automation.
· Knowledge of advance Excel, including proficiency in developing dashboards for Financial Planning & Analysis (Visual Basic or any IT coding a plus).
· Monthly P & L closing experience.
· Proficiency in Word and PowerPoint Presentation Software
· Self-starter, with ability to independently understand, build and maintain processes, while ensuring proper controls are in place to for save guards.
High level of written, oral and presentation skills
