We work closely with financial institutions to help prepare asset-based loans for retailers, distributors, and manufacturers. Customers in industries ranging from apparel, furniture, jewelry, and department store chains, to electronics, toys, and sporting goods, lumber, auto parts, and chemicals have all relied on us for professional appraisals and valuations.
GA is currently seeking a professional with 1 ? 4 years of experience in financial services, consulting, or related field to join our Consumer Products team in Needham, MA.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Ability to complete 3 to 4 appraisals per month, both in a supportive role and independently (with experience)
Analyze company provided data to uncover emerging trends and verify accuracy
Perform sku analysis to identify slow moving segments of inventory
Reviews and identifies company expenses necessary for appraisal model
Effectively sets priorities and works in an organized manner while managing multiple moving deadlines
Perform due diligence, monitoring and communicating open items with subject company to ensure compliance
Maintain internal communication with deal team as well as external communication with client/company contact
Perform industry research applicable to particular projects as well as maintain database of information related to specific industry
Performs management interviews and site visits as needed; travel could represent 20% -25% per month
Learn and adhere to current USPAP guidelines for all appraisal engagements
Provide support for other ad-hoc projects as needed
PREREQUISITE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EDUCATION:
Bachelor?s Degree in Business, with a concentration in Finance or Economics preferred
Advanced knowledge of financial statements and understanding of accounting terms and retail terminology
One to four years of experience in financial services, retail buying or consulting
Detail-oriented, able to effectively manage time, strong planning skills, and excellent analytical skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent knowledge of MS Excel operations
Demonstrated strong level of computer skills to include Microsoft Office applications, as well as other office software products in a Windows environment
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to function in high-pressure, deadline-structured situations
Manual dexterity to operate a computer
Ability to lift 35 pounds
Correctable vision and hearing
Excellent interpersonal skills
Clear, easy to understand telephone voice
Ability to sit for prolonged periods in front of a computer
