Overview
A Hardee?s General Manager is the leader of our Star Team. Our General Manager is the key team member who establishes the tone of the work environment with our unsurpassed level of customer-oriented service. You are responsible for the operation of the restaurant, include recruiting, hiring, and developing employees. The General Manager takes personal responsibility for conducting new hire orientation and implementing the training plan for each new hire. You are also responsible for scheduling and deploying the Star Team correctly, addressing performance issues, assisting in the resolution of customer issues, and assisting in the management of the restaurant?s budget and financial plans. A successful candidate will have strong leadership and communication skills, a track record of people development, and a positive attitude. Restaurant Management
Be willing to work morning, afternoon, and evening shifts as necessary
Also must be able to travel for training for up to 8 weeks
Ensures prompt, friendly service according to company guidelines.
Directs overall activities and performance of associates on a shift-by-shift basis.
Maintains adequate departmental inventory levels.
Ensures product preparation and presentation uncompromisingly meeting company standards.
Effectively schedules associates to meet sales demands.
Corrects unsafe practices or conditions.
Promotes and manages restaurant organization, cleanliness, and sanitation.
Communicates with other managers daily through management log and shift change meetings.
Manages Associate Performance
Helps maintain a trained staff through the effective use of employment orientation, individual training sessions, associate meetings and implementation of company policy; oversees hourly training program and ensures correct procedures are followed.
Determines job assignments on a shift-by-shift basis.
Monitors acceptable associate performance and documents situations that require or could lead to disciplinary or corrective action; monitor progressive discipline when appropriate.
Assures compliance with company policies, practices, and procedures.
Maintain Controls
Responsible to control cost in assigned department.
Maintains and controls the assets of the company.
Assures the compliance with the local, state and federal laws, regulations and guidelines.
Reports progress towards achieving restaurant performance objectives at management meetings.
Maintaining accurate food waste and production accounting
Development
Demonstrates organizational skills.
Completes all assignments and duties properly and on schedule.
Develops goals and action plans for growth.
Serves as a role model for managers and associates.
Develops self on all store related technology.
Qualification Standard:
Minimum of two (2) years restaurant management or related experience with an emphasis on building sales, managing inventory, customer relations or personnel management.
High school diploma or GED is required.
