THE POSITION
The Accounting Internship aims to provide students or recent graduates with hands-on experience in non-profit financial accounting, financial analysis and financial reporting. The intern will report directly to Agora?s Director of Finance & Operations. Potential projects include:
Financial Analysis
Financial Grant Reporting
Cash Flow Analysis
Budget v. Actual Reports
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who is passionate about finding entrepreneurial solutions to our most pressing social challenges, and who wants to accelerate a new generation of entrepreneurs towards success. Successful candidates must exhibit Agora?s core values of agency, empathy, curiosity and perseverance. We seek the following qualifications in an ideal candidate:
Current student or recent graduate
Detail-oriented with ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative work environment
Strong written and oral communication skills
Knowledge of accounting and financial management
Familiarity with or eagerness to learn Quickbooks
Interest/passion for social entrepreneurship, emerging markets, and/or impact investing
Spanish language (preferred, but not necessary)
DETAILS
Dates: Sept. 4 - late December ? applications reviewed on a rolling basis. Internship may be extended to end of academic year based on interest of manager and intern.

Intern is expected to have a laptop computer on which to work, cover all travel and housing related costs incurred during the internship, and commit to 10-15 hours per week for the duration of the internship.
All internships are unpaid.
