Softlines Junior Merchant Job Opening in Dubuque, Iowa - Theisen?s is looking for an energetic, results driven Softlines Junior Merchant. This position is available at our corporate office and requires candidates to possess a high degree of awareness of trends, solid analytical ability, strong negotiating and communication skills.
The Softlines Junior Merchant responsibilities will include monitoring sales and margins, evaluating new product lines/vendors, maintaining store stock levels, comparing inventory and projecting future needs, etc. Will meet with sales reps/vendor, research new products offered, review promotional offers, and negotiate for quality items and pricing. Will also attend buying/trade shows.
Will work closely with stores addressing questions/concerns regarding products and needs including special orders. Will also assist with ad preparation by determining content, setting retails and driving in-stocks.
Position include Bachelor?s degree in Accounting, Business or Management or a minimum of three years related buying/retail experience. Candidates must possess excellent computer skills and be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
