Senior Web Developer Job Opening in Rocky Mount, North carolina - Indeed Hire is in partnership with McLane to locate a Senior Web Developer to join their team for their Rocky Mount, North Carolina location.
The Senior Web Developer/Team Lead works with McLane business leaders in architecting web solutions to provide McLane with a competitive advantage. This hands-on position leads a team in designing, building and implementing web-based applications to solve business requirements.
Responsibilities
Strategy & Planning
Leads the efforts of other development staff including responsibility for work products and projects and directing others in order to reach goals
Designs, modifies, develops, and implements software programming applications following established architecture standards as well as software development and project management.
Determines and develops design approaches and solutions, conducts business reviews, documents current systems, and develops recommendations
Performs feasibility analysis on potential future projects and presents to management
Serves as a liaison or technical resource for others on their team or to partners within other business units
Assists in the creation of and ensures compliance with all established architecture standards and SDLC and PMLC methodologies
Remains current with web solution technologies and ensures team does the same
Acquisition & Deployment
Conduct research into current and emerging web technologies and issues in support of web development efforts and make recommendations
Operational Management
Proven leadership abilities including ability to share knowledge, resolve conflict and create consensus, and able to lead complex projects
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
Strong troubleshooting abilities to get to the source of problems and think critically regarding possible solutions
Strong ability to take ownership of assigned tasks and responsibilities

Position Requirements
Formal Education & Certification
College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science and/or [5] years equivalent work experience.
Certifications in development framework a plus.

Net development tools
C# 4 or higher
Principles and implementation of Domain Driven Designs
ORM?s: NHibernate, Entity Framework
Structuremap
Nunit/mstest
mvc 3 or higher with Razor view engine.
CSS
Web services connections (SOAP & REST interfaces)
Thorough understanding of application development methodologies.
Knowledge of System Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Experience with structuring, developing, and implementing interactive corporate Web sites.
Proven experience in installing, upgrading, and maintaining Web servers and associated operating systems.
