Network Director Job Opening in Bennettsville, South carolina - Job Purpose
Supports the Northeastern Rural Health Network (NRHN) with communications, marketing and coordinating Mental Health First Aid classes, day-to-day administration, community engagement, and data analysis. This position requires the ability to plan, implement, and direct programming that meets the needs of the community. The position also requires the ability to effectively communicate and work with a variety of diverse individuals, groups, and organizations.
Duties and Responsibilities
Coordinates Network meetings by drafting agendas with input from board members, confirming meeting locations and logistics, reminding Network members of meeting times and locations, and completing and sharing meeting minutes.
Serves as the primary point of contact for the Network?s participation in the Healthy People, Health Carolinas ?a grant program funded by the Duke Endowment. Supports the successful implementation of the Healthy People, Healthy Carolinas grant activities as needed.
Supervises two (2) part-time Community Health Workers as they create community resource manuals and address social determinants that can lead to improvement in overall health in the communities served by the Network.
Facilitates the marketing and scheduling of Mental Health First Aid classes, including the securing of location, coordinating with instructors, and ensuring needed supplies for the course are purchased.
Documents and reports activities and deliverables so that they can be verified by the Board of Directors.
Complies with policies and procedures of employing organization and the Network.
Qualifications
Minimum requirements: A bachelor?s degree in the field of human services or public health and one (1) year experience in community organization, administration, supervision, and/or healthcare. Valid driver?s license.
Preferred requirements: A master?s degree in the field of human services or public health and three (3) years? experience in administration, supervision, and/or healthcare. Experience working with executive boards and grant writing.
Must be able to:
Communicate effectively and professionally both in writing and orally, and deliver presentations.
Respond promptly to questions from community organizations and general public with data-informed responses.
Coordinate the activities of grant-funded programs and maintain reporting documentation required by funding sources.
Understand and implement quality improvement strategies, including plan, do, study, act cycles.
Deliver professional supervision to other Network staff.
Use computers proficiently with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Ability to quickly learn specialized healthcare and data reporting software.
Work with board members to develop and oversee Network budget, billing, and expenses.
With technical assistance from the SC Office of Rural Health, lead the Network?s strategic planning process.
With the Chair, serve as official public relations spokesperson for NRHN to the public and media.
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly sit, stand, and use computers for extended periods of time.
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Routine travel within Chesterfield, Marlboro, and Dillon counties. Occasional travel in-state. Potential for out-of-state and overnight travel.
