Technical Sales Job Opening in Erie, Pennsylvania - An opportunity has arisen to join us at Lascar Electronics, based in Erie PA. Lascar Electronics is a leading provider of digital panel instruments, data loggers, and custom design solutions from concept to production. Your role will include finding, contacting, and visiting new customers. You will be responsible for appraising their needs from a technical standpoint and working with them to deliver the best possible service. You will also provide technical and commercial support to the company?s existing customers, as well as attending trade shows and other events on behalf of the company. This position includes regular travel and the opportunity to visit customers across North America. Your focus will be to identify, develop, and win sales opportunities to drive company growth
Principal Duties:
Identify, contact and qualify new sales prospects
Carry out sales visits to prospective customers
Bring sales inquiries to successful conclusions in line with company targets
Help customers define their technical requirements and identify suitable Lascar products
Support customers in developing custom requirements where necessary
Commit to growth in custom manufacturing areas of the Company
Maintain regular contact with and support existing customers
Manage and grow the company?s sales and distribution channels
Help organize and attend trade shows, webinars and other industry events
Provide technical support and product training to customers
Work with Engineering team on solving customer application questions
Research strategic accounts, identifying a strong lead from a weak lead
Represent Lascar in a professional manner at all times
Regularly report on sales activity to the Sales Manager and other colleagues
Provide back-up and assistance to the Sales Manager
Carry out any other general duties, commensurate with the nature of the role, that may be required from time to time
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Highly organized
Prefer candidates with a technical, electronics, or IT background
Preferably experienced in working in a team environment
Strong written and verbal skills
Strong numerical and general computer skills ? Microsoft Office, etc.
Reliability and ability to work unsupervised with a positive attitude
Ability to perform a variety of tasks associated with a small company
Clean driving license
Non-smoker
