Eligibility Specialist Job Opening in Omaha, Nebraska - HRS Erase, Inc. has a position open in Omaha, NE for a full-time Eligibility Specialist! As an Eligibility Specialist, you will assist and advocate for lower-income, self-pay or underinsured hospital patients in obtaining eligibility for entitlement programs, such as Medicaid, SSI, crime victims, etc. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00am until 4:30pm. Current and valid driver?s license and auto insurance required. Applicants are required to pass a 10 panel drug screen and background check (criminal and felony).
Responsibilities include:
Screen and evaluate hospital patients for potential eligibility for assistance programs
Complete and submit initial paperwork for patients
Provide transportation as needed for the patients
Perform home and hospital visits as needed
Conduct evening and weekend phone calls as needed
Requirements:
Able to pass 10 panel drug screen and background check (criminal and felony) Current and valid driver?s license and auto insurance required
Organizational and follow-up skills
Desire to work in a social work environment
Ability to adapt and manage change
Display basic computer proficiency
