Staff Accountant Job Opening in Nashville, Tennessee - LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY
Our company is currently seeking a full time experienced Staff Accountant to join our accounting and finance team. The Staff Accountant will mainly be responsible for assisting with the preparation of monthly financial statement reports and analysis, full cycle Accounts Receivable Management, and full cycle Accounts Payable Management. The successful candidate will also be an integral member of the finance team that works on cross-company projects on an as needed basis. A successful candidate will be a willing key team player on both the finance team and within the entire organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare accounting related entries to support month end close process
Assist in Financial Statement preparation, reporting, and analysis
Follow the company?s established accounting processes
Manage full cycle accounts payable activities to ensure accuracy and timeliness of invoice creation, entry, and payments
Manage full cycle Accounts Receivable activities including the posting of receipts and actively monitoring customer balances to ensure prompt collections
Regularly maintain detailed reconciliations of select balance sheet accounts
Accurately provide detailed analyses and explanations of all transactions and significant variances
Assist with the processing of payroll
Requirements and Skill?sets:
Bachelor?s Degree in Accounting or Finance required
Positive attitude
Strong Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable experience
Previous experience working in an ERP environment (Microsoft Dynamics, Great Plains preferred)
3+ years? experience in accounting or finance function
Strong computer skills including strong Excel experience
Strong written and oral communication skills
Exhibits a commitment to solve problems with effective solutions to meet/exceed the needs of internal and external partners
Willingness to establish, maintain, and grow effective working relationships across multiple functional areas within the organization
Willingness to step outside the finance role to develop an organizational understanding and presence to provide organizational support as needed
