Financial Controller Job Opening in Nashville, Tennessee - We are looking for a Financial Controller to join the management team of Halo Restaurants, a fast-growing hospitality group in Nashville with multiple restaurant concepts in Tennessee, Alabama, and Kentucky. The Financial Controller will be responsible for validating, maintaining, analyzing, and reporting on the organization?s financial information.
Specific responsibilities:
Manage and streamline all weekly store-level accounting processes, including invoice submissions, inventories, and cash management.
Manage and improve process effectiveness for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and communication with vendors and partners.
Partner with bookkeeper to review month-end journal entries and supporting reconciliations for accurate and timely preparation of financial statements.
Provide technical and strategic support to management team with the implementation, configuration, and rollout of restaurant management software solutions.
Identify strategic opportunities for automation and process improvement within the organization.
Perform financial analysis in support of ad hoc requests from the management team, ownership group, or investors.
Maintain a record of all related accounting processes and procedures.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor?s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business
2+ years of accounting or finance experience
Experience with bookkeeping, accounts payable, and cash management processes
Experience with financial analysis and reporting
Computer science or related background preferred

Highly-developed attention to detail
Proven ability to learn new systems and implement processes that maximize accounting and operational efficiencies
Proven ability to understand, simplify, and communicate complex issues
A desire to be challenged by other perspectives, innovation, and automation
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks Online
