Bilingual Software Implementation Consultant Job Opening in Birmingham, Alabama - Command Alkon , a global leader in integrated technology solutions to the concrete and the construction materials industry for over 40 years, has a unique opportunity to fill a Bilingual Software Implementation Consultant focused on leading teams in the implementation, training, and support of large and small customers at the Birmingham, AL location.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Perform remote and onsite work for Command Alkon?s Optimization software implementations. Required tasks will include file builds, business integration testing, upgrades and cross-over/ go-live activities plus ongoing service and support for existing customers
Provide troubleshooting of optimization software product issues to resolve problems
Provide consulting and training services for customers to more effectively utilize the optimization software allowing them to improve their efficiencies and achieve their business goals
Review and implement business process changes where appropriate
Insure project milestones are successfully achieved and documented using the defined project management process
Provide mentoring/training of customers? employees to grow and develop their skill sets and/or implement recommendations
Document all project work in our internal systems
Develop a understanding of our proprietary software, COMMANDperformance (Cognos), in order to utilize the tool during implementations
Use internal software systems effectively to manage billings, open issues and any other required job functions
Create documentation, training materials and reports as required
Work with our proprietary software and other software implementations, upgrades, migration, consolidation & acquisition projects as needed
Work effectively with the Optimization team and other Command Alkon teams
Support the goals and objectives of the Optimization team by delivering any additional tasks requested
Attend and present at the annual Command Alkon Customer Conference and other events as requested

Comfort with current Windows-based software systems and ability to learn new software including custom Command Alkon solutions including , COMMANDfleet, Optimization and COMMANDperformance
Experience working with third-party software solutions including Windows, Citrix, SQL/Oracle databases and Microsoft Office including PowerPoint.
Software implementation experience
Consulting experience (business process, software, process flow)
Accounting experience is a plus
Required Skills:
MUST be able to speak Spanish
5+ years of experience in a customer support role preferred
5+ years of experience in the computer software or construction materials industry preferred
+/- 60% required. Travel could be domestic or international and may include weekends.
