Senior Cost Accountant Job Opening in Tempe, Arizona - The ideal Senior Cost accountant will have a manufacturing industry background with a minimum of 5 years prior experience. This individual will be responsible for leading the growth effort within the business through measurable metrics and process improvements. Be an effective hands on manager with ability to lead growth within your department. You must be a self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision. Analytical strengths, strong communication skills and outstanding computer skills required.
Primary Responsibilities:
Manage and improve cost accounting system
Preparation, review and analysis of financial statement
Participation in process improvement initiative and ad-hoc analysis projects to assist senior management.
Responsible for routine compilation of product manufacturing costs for payroll, inventory accountability and labor costs.
Manage budgeting and forecasting process and present findings to senior management.
Analyze production cost, set up cost standards and evaluate actual costs vs standards
Drive cost improvement programs
Manage financial statement preparation in accordance with GAAP
Oversight of A/P, A/R, fixed assets
Provide accounting guidance and support for Malaysia business operations
Manage support staff
Qualifications:
Experience with operational cost accounting
Expert Excel experience at an advanced level (V-look up, pivot tables, Macros)
3-5 years of experience with ROI, forecasting, budgeting, pricing and cash flow modeling
Bachelor?s degree in accounting or related fields
At least 5 years of relevant cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
Prior international account experience a plus
